The 140o Wisner Hypergon, 90mm, f:22-45

This lens was originally designed by the Zeiss company as an extreme wide angle lens. Resembling a hollow marble, it has served a unique function as the only absolutely rectilinear lens covering 140o for decades. This lens has an absolutely flat field, virtually no astigmatism, and is virtually distortion free. Even today, ninety year old specimens of this lens are highly sought.

We have redesigned this lens using modern glass, and offer it with precise "waterhouse" stops and a simple but reliable rotary sector-shutter which will allow the photographer to manually time his exposures using the "B" or "T" settings. This lens will cover up to 11x14, but is suggested really for 8x10.
