In combination, a front and rear lens (double lens) provides up to 80o of coverage with high resolution of 60 lines/mm at f:22. Single cells when used alone will perform well out to approximately 30o and are traditionally used with a yellow filter. Resolution in this case will be a very respectable 45 to 50 lines at f:32 to 45. Complete MTF and other optical data is available upon request. | ||||
| The table shown is a copy of one of the actual brass plates affixed to the box lid with which each standard set is provided, illustrating the various combinations and resulting focal lengths. Other sets may be specified by the photographer, but adding cells to an existing set will require testing and adjustment at the factory to guarantee proper performance. | |||||

| It occurred to us that it should be a simple matter to design a cell of null power to place in front of the shutter with sufficient corrections of opposite power to the single cell placed behind the shutter so that one can use color film. The new Wisner Corrector may be used with any of the single cells in the Plasmat system, and will render the single cells usable with color. If you are shooting black and white and prefer the more traditional approach, you can continue using a yellow filter and your results will be excellent. The corrector is not necessary. | |||||
