is a new design which resulted from input directly from
out customers. The instructions were "make it
simple, easy to use and light. We took the standard 8x10
bed, stretched it into an 11x14 bed, made a lightweight
rear standard and bellows, used "brass"
anodized aircraft aluminum throughout and came up with a
19 lb 12x20 and a 17 lb 11x14. *Full movements on the front standard, *Rear swing, rear base tilt and optional rear geared-axis-tilt (Wisner patent). *45" quadruple extension bed * Mahogany or Cherry in traditional or satin varnish "I am loving the 12x20 more every day!!!....I am really happy with the weight of the camera, it is very usable, yet solid. I have had it on a tripod in the living room and been playing with it every free minute. It is very easy to use. I have read that the larger the camera the more difficult to set it up. I find this as easy to use as a 4x5. It is stiff enough that the bed does not take off on it's own if I let go of the controls, yet easy to adjust. Bottom line, there is no trouble reaching the controls or operating them with almost any lens length. The geared rear axis tilt is really great, especially on a big camera like this. It gives the control to tilt the film plane back with one hand so you can manage a dark cloth and/or loop with the other to watch the focus. For landscape camera's this is a real life saver." M S., Oceanside, CA May '03 "This is a 12x20 camera that does everything that I could ask for. It is light and easy to use with plenty of movements and bellows extension. Easy to set up and take down and it even folds closed up with my 450 Nikon f9 attached, which is a big blessing. I can use a wide lens range from 165 mm to 600 mm and do verticals with it. Of course it is beautiful to look at too! I'm really happy with this camera!" Emile Deleon, CT. We are making another run of these cameras.
